Sarah first worked on an experiment that investigated the role of attention in memory for event structure, followed by a spatial experiment that explored how training can effect the strategy used for viewer rotations.

During her final year, she worked on a senior honors project that looked at the role of mood on performance on spatial reasoning tasks. After graduation, she took a job as a research assistant in Marcel Just's lab at Carnegie Mellon University.
