To include a video in your Pages website, you must first decide where to store the video files. Your options are:
- Use a public YouTube site (there are 2 methods for including the video from YouTube)
- Store them in box.wustl.edu
YouTube Option 1: Creating a Streaming Media Page
- Upload your video to YouTube and make sure it is set to "public"
- Copy the URL (web address) for your YouTube video
- Go to your Pages site and click Add Content
- Choose Streaming Media
- Give it a title
- Paste in the URL to the You Tube video into the field with the words "your video name here"
- Save

YouTube Option 2: Embedding a YouTube video
(an alterenative to the method listed above)
- On the YouTube page, click the "Share" button just below the video player.
- Click the "Embed" button.
- Copy the code that appears in the box.
- In Pages, click "Add Content" and choose "Basic Page."
- Give your page a title
- Click the "Source" tool in the toolbar.
- Paste in the code copied from YouTube.
- Add the page to a menu (optional) and Save

Important: The permissions on the box folder must be set to share with "anyone with the link."
- In box, navigate to the folder that contains your video file(s). Make sure it uses the sharing permissions "anyone with the link."
- Right-click the file and choose Sharing->Embed Widget
- Copy the embed code.
- In the website, create a new basic page (or open an existing one) and click "Disable Rich Text" below the "Body" area.
- Paste in the embed code copied from box.
- Save
Note: The newly-created page will load slowly the first time.
