Our research interests are focused on the unique combination of optical irradiation with solid-state NMR studies. The goal of our research is a basic understanding of the structure and properties of different types of inorganic systems, including semiconductors and other optically and electronically active materials.

Recently, our OPNMR work on semiconductor interfaces was published in JACS: https://pubs.acs.org/doi/abs/10.1021/jacs.6b08970

Collaborator Josh Howe (Georgia Tech, left) and Robert Marti (PhD candidate, Hayes Group, right) received a Student and Postdoc Team Science Competition Award for their presentation at the 2017 Dept. of Energy, Energy Frontiers Research Centers PI Meeting, July 25, 2017.

Recently, our CSMC team was featured on the front cover of Dalton Transactions:

Hayes Group, Spring 2017:
