Educational Background

 

 

Dr. Yuen received his B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering from Northwestern University.  While at Northwestern he worked jointly in the labs of Rick van Duyne (Chemistry) and Matt Glucksberg (Biomedical Engineering) to develop a minimally invasive surface-enhanced Raman spectroscopy (SERS) glucose sensor.

Research Interests 

 

 

Dr. Yuen joined the Holten Group in 2012 and is currently working on photophysical characterization of synthetic chromophores (bacteriochlorophyll c and bacteriochlorin analogs) and using their assemblies to facilitate energy transfer.
