Movement Science
Entering Year: 2013

Ching-Ting, originally from Chesterfield, Missouri, graduated from University of Notre Dame with a degree in biological sciences and a minor in science, technology, and values. During her undergraduate studies, Ching-Ting spent time doing research on biological nanoparticles using laser transmission spectroscopy. When she was not in in class or in the lab, Ching-Ting could be found rowing on the beautiful St. Joseph River for the Notre Dame Women’s Rowing team. After graduation, she spent a year coaching rowing on the famed Charles River in Boston, working with the competitive masters women, military and veterans, and adaptive teams at Community Rowing, Inc. After spending a few years away from St. Louis, Ching-Ting is glad to be back in her hometown pursing a PhD in Movement Science. In her free time, Ching-Ting is an avid athlete who delights in long-distance running and cycling, and any outdoor activities. She has completed a few marathons and has hopes of competing in triathlons in the near future. When time and school allows, she loves to make long road-trips to visit friends across the country. When not on the move, she plays the piano and violin, and makes woodwork.
