PMB trains students in the use of plants and microbes as model systems to answer basic and translational research questions with an emphasis on state-of-the-art techniques and cross-disciplinary approaches. Course requirements and the qualifying exam should be concluded by the end of the second year. Research training is accomplished by a combination of rotations in the first year followed by a thesis project. Seminars and journal clubs help students stay current with the latest scientific advances.
The application deadline is December 1 and is available through DBBS. For questions regarding the application, contact DBBS at 1-800-852-9074 (toll-free) or by email to dbbs-admissions@dbbs.wustl.edu.
