In my current research, I am investigating what young children know about their written language system. Specifically, I am looking at how children differentiate their writings from drawings, as well as how this differentiation could vary depending on the language that they know. I am also interested in exploring the spelling development of young children and the spelling errors they make in the process. These issues are being explored using a variety of methods, as well as in collaboration with other researchers.
