Hometown:  Cojimar, Cuba

I’ve been a permanent fixture in Florida for the last twelve years, ever since my family and I emigrated from a little fishing town in Cuba called Cojimar. I lived in Tampa and, for a brief five-year stint, in Tallahassee, while I worked on my Bachelor’s degrees in Creative Writing and History from Florida State University. When not writing about the pitfalls of living in a Cuban household, I can be found reading (usually something to do with dragons), chasing the cat, or planning a world tour.
