Whitney received her B.A. in Psychology from Pennsylvania State University and Masters of Social Work from University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. As a Social Work Ph.D. student in the Brown School, her research interests include sexuality, gender, and racial identity development among African American young adults. Whitney is an avid advocate for social justice and looks forward to exploring community service opportunities in St. Louis. As the daughter of a retired librarian, Whitney is a self-proclaimed bibliophile who in her free time enjoys getting lost in the shelves of used bookstores.
