A Day at the MBL Physiology Course in Instagrams

By Liz Haswell

For the past two summers, I've had the great luck to serve as one of Rob Phillips' Teaching Assistants in the Physiology Course at the Marine Biological Labs in Woods Hole, MA.

Graduate students and postdocs come from all over the world to learn the basics of biochemistry, microscopy, and statistical mechanics in an intensive 7-week course.

It's been said that every day at MBL is a week anywhere else. It's also been said that one should never do microscopy after beer hour, but that's neither here nor there. . .

To experience a day that felt like a week, in the absolute best way possible, go HERE. I recommend clicking on the first picture and then you can flip through them like a slide show by clicking on the arrows on the lower right.
