How will my faculty mentor be assigned?
If you are accepted into the program, your primary contact for your respective department of interest will work with you to partner with a mentor

How is the stipend paid?
As a JPP participant, your stipend will be paid in monthly installments.

How do I know if I should be in the one year or two year program?
Based on your prior experience in your area of interest, an assessment to continue for a second year to earn the master's or go directly into the PHD program would be determined by the Department.
