Summer 2017:

Briana Belfiore
Hello! My name is Briana Belfiore, and I’m a rising senior from Olney, Maryland, majoring in psychology and anthropology. I’m a member of the Varsity Women’s Track and Field Team, ThurtenE Honorary, and Chi Omega Women’s sorority. When I’m not running in circles, I’m usually eating or trying to find new food places, or finding new Netflix binges. I’m extremely excited to be working for Arts and Sciences as their Communications Intern and to have a chance to educate incoming freshmen on what (and what not to do) as a WashU student!

Allison Hamburg
Hi everyone! I’m Allison Hamburg, a rising junior in the Sam Fox School of Design and Visual Arts from Springfield, Missouri. I’m majoring in fine arts with a concentration in photography and double minoring in design and art history. On campus, I’m a photographer for WashU’s Student Union and for the student-run newspaper Student Life, in addition to being a member of Pride Alliance. When I’m not complaining about how many photos I have left to edit, I can be found playing with dogs and cats, watching tv under a fuzzy blanket (regardless of the weather), or painting. I can’t wait to highlight parts of campus and St. Louis that you might not be aware of and to welcome you to your new home.

Summer 2016:

Lizzie McIvor
Hi everyone! My name is Lizzie and I’m a rising senior from Roanoke, Virginia, majoring in Linguistics and minoring in Writing. I’m currently the Social Chair for one of the best collegiate sailing teams based out of a land-locked, midwestern state (go Bears!). I’m also Howard Nemerov Scholar and a member of the Chi Omega sorority. I spend most of my time biking around Forest Park, complaining about the price of avocados, and clicking the “Yes, I’m still watching” button on Netflix.

Jacob Nason
Hi! I’m Jacob, a senior from Charleston, West Virginia majoring in Film and Media Studies and Environmental Earth Science. I’m a member of the varsity swim team, and when I’m not in class or considering moving into the Athletic Complex, I enjoy writing for WUnderground (the satirical newspaper), pretending that my film major justifies watching unhealthy amounts of TV, and listening to a single song on repeat for days at a time.

Fall 2015:

Alexandra Barrett

Hey, y'all! My name is Xandi, and I am junior from Laurel, Maryland. I am majoring in Environmental Earth Science with a second major in African and African American Studies and a minor in Photography. This semester (Fall 2015), I will be studying with the SIT program in Wildlife Conservation and Political Ecology in northern Tanzania. When I'm at WashU, I like to organize with Green Action, plant things with the Burning Kumquat, and go on midnight donut runs to John Donuts with my friends.

Emma Milford

Hi all! I’m Emma and I am a junior from Natick, Massachusetts, majoring in International Area Studies (Global Cultural Studies focus) with a minor in Global Health and the Environment. Outside of the classroom I am involved with The Ghost Lights a cappella, Kappa Delta Sorority, and the Equestrian Team. I am excited to be blogging about my fall semester abroad in Durban, South Africa, where I’ll be studying as part of the SIT (School for International Training) program called Social and Political Transformation. I cannot wait to share my experience with you!

Summer 2015:

Anna Belle Hoots

Hi, everyone! My name is Anna Belle and I am from Mequon, Wisconsin. I am a rising junior in the College of Arts & Sciences majoring in English and minoring in Legal Studies. Beyond academics, I am a member of the Kappa Kappa Gamma Sorority and the WashU Symphony Orchestra. In my free time, I love to watch movies and spend time with my family and friends!

Megan Magray
Hi all! I'm Megan, a junior from Tampa, Florida, majoring in English and Women, Gender and Sexuality Studies, and minoring in Design. I'm currently the Editor-in-Chief of Wash. U.'s newspaper, Student Life (add me on Facebook if want to join!!) and I spend most of my free time taking pictures, being paranoid that my Twitter will affect future employment opportunities, and hanging out at Starbucks reading about how to be a better feminist
